I find it strange that the game doesn't make very much of the fact Imoen is a Bhaalspawn. It would make sense if no one knew, but then couldn't the ascendence of the next god of murder be prevented by Imoen just not getting herself killed?

I think it's more like cup's of water, at first all the power is spread over them all so they each don't have much in them, slowly as they kill each other off some of the taint leak's back to them from the throne, so if it came down to just you and immy, one, you'd both be at high risk, one of you fall's off a horse and the other end's up getting taken as the new lord of murder..

I used to have a bee in my bonnet about the Imoen issue, too. Check out: http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...c;f=5;t=003065

Rereading that thread, I'm forced to wonder why I was so incoherent that day.

I have that problem a lot.

Having re-read your post (I don't remember seeing it at the time), all I can say is: Jaheira balances out any deficiencies in the lessons of experience/Faerun street smarts department.

I think I was comparing Immy to Aerie (though it could have been Nalia)... They're both innocent, but Imoen proves that you don't have to be naive to be innocent.

Got it (and agree, by the way). I took it as a more general comment about female characters in the game.
