I am currently in Baldurs Gate, searching the local stores and such. There are many tempting items inside each of the stores (especially that one magic shop). Imoen has a really good stealth skill because I gave her the boots and bought the nice armor :D She also has a good lock pick skill 115%. Although with all these things, I am on a quest that is quite difficult to me. You know that one halfling inside the tavern who asks you to steal the telescope from the Hall Of Wonders? Anyways, inside there I saved it right next to where you find it. I made Imoen go stealthy and take it. There are many Flaming Fist guards around and if they catch you stealing a Battle Mage comes to kick your butt. As soon as I turned off stealth they always turn hostile and come after me! Its taking me quite awhile to figure out the right way to steal it :rolleyes:

I think you're supposed to go there when it's dark and people are gone. I think no soldiers are there then... or at least they don't notice you stealing that easily. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I do a Snatch and Run there. If you can get out of the building alive you are home free. Consider the Sanctuary spell, or Haste/Boots of speed etc.

I think there are several things you can steal. Get the telescope last as that is when trouble arrives.

Quaff a potion of invisibility right after you've taken the telescope and walk right past them.

If you send in Iomoen by herself use the stealth and go to the telescope and as soon as you take it you will be visible again so when you take it immediatly pause it and use the stealth and you will be able to walk right out as long as you don't have any party members in the museum.

If you wait till about 9 pm the guards are not around.
