I got a cap remover from TeamBG, but they have several rule packages for higher lever characters. One is labeled 30th level, others are 35th, 40th and 50th. There is no description on how or when to use them. All the files seem the same size. They don't seem to have a forum for how to use their tools.

Anybody have any pointers? Will the 50th level pack do everything the others do?

If they list the rule pack as compatible, then it should be fine. What the rule pack does, as far as I understand, is to append the new rules to the .2da files so that the characters level-up according to the AD&D rules appropriate for the level achieved. The .2da files that come with the default CD install don't contain information for leveling up after the XP cap is reached- this is why you need the rule pack update.
