on the level with all the three keys marked courage wisdom and spirit, when I attempt to use the last key the game freezes. Why does this happen and is there anyway round this?

As far as I can tell, none of the baldurdash fixpacks deal with this problem. Any other suggestions?

I can't exactly provide advice that will help you, but I can at least attempt to diagnose the problem. 2 questions:
1) Which key is causing the freeze? Is it the blue guys, the group with the skulls, or the group with the Beholder?
2) When precisely does the freeze occur? Is it during the mini-cutscene mode where all your menus disappear?

The problem may be caused by a corrupted animation--for instance, if the "Hula Wizard" animation is corrupted or missing, the game will hit a potentially fatal error when it tries to display the blue guys.

1) The one furthest to the left. It worked the first time but I died. The group contains someone who looks like Yxounimi from Icewind Dale.
2) When the menus disappear it just stops doing anything.
Pleeeeease help me.

Well, it seems like nobody knows the technical reason for the crash--I sure don't. At this point, all I can suggest is either
1) Give up--you've beaten almost everything anyway, or
2) Keep Reloading and Reloading and Reloading, hoping for a chance when the thing actually works. Hey, you said it worked once before, so.....

An alternative would be to send a person with the same setup as you, your save folder and see whether the problem can be duplicated or bypassed.
