What level should I be when importing my BG2 character into TOB?

Unmodded, probably around the XP point cap. Honestly, if you can finish SoA with the character, you won't have problems in ToB.

If you have less than 2.5 million xp when you're done with SoA, then you'll automatically be pulled up to 2.5 million xp.

You don't need to go solo to reach the XP cap in SoA. You can easily pass the XP cap of SoA before getting to ToB.

I doubt it's easily, it's easily if a person is willing to do all the quests. Or at least those that give much exp.

Every quest...lol, don't feel like it.

you dont have to do every quest to reach the limit. Just quite a number, some people prefer to miss out lots of quests, others, like me, prefer to clean the game, so to speak. Its just a matter of preference really.
