Whats a good recommendation for a familiar for a solo sorc?
Should I go with something thiefy, or the quasit perhaps?
Im leaning more towards evil, but why the hell is it the game gives so
many opportunities for bonus xp for being good. 2000xp diff if I free Minsc and tell him no to joining me, or freeing him, let him join, then kick em out.

Well, the familiars are dependent on alignment. The good ones are fun, but I would have to say that the neutral ones are useful if you want to solo... Pick pocketing is a beautiful thing.

Just make sure you cast Find Familiar from a scroll, and don't pick it on your spell list. That would be a fantastic waste.
