Right now I am using a Me (Paladin),Imoen,Khalid,Yeslick,Kivan, and Quayle.
I am not sure if I made a good enough choice so for my next game I would like a little help. So I dont drive myself mad trying to think of who will be the best party member, just reply who you think are the best. :rolleyes:

Imoen is the best thief in the game so hold on to her

Both Kivan and Khalid are exelent archers and Kivan can also be used in close combat

Quayle is a good mage and cleric and can cover your need in both departments

I haven't used Yeslick that much - I have played a cleric myself otherwise I use Quayle, Branwen or Viconia

But I think you should try as many different NPC-constallations as possible

Members of an evil party could be
Korgan - Dwarf Fighter(found in Begegost)
Viconia - Drow cleric (f.i. Peldvale - E of Friendly arm inn)
Shar-Teel Human Fighter (f.i. area E of Temple)
Edwin - Human Conjurer(?) (f.i. Nashkel)
Montaron - Halfling(?) Fighter/Thief (f.i. first area)
Xzar - Human Diviner(?) (-||)

or some members for good party
Ajarsis - Human Paladin ( Farm - N of FAI)
Minsc - Human Ranger ( Nashkel)
Dynaheir - Human Invoker (Gnoll Stronghold)
Imoen - Human Thief (can be Dual-classed to mage)
Kivan - Elf Ranger (High Hedge)
Khalid - Elf Fighter (FAI)
Jahiera - Half-Elf(?) Fighter/Druid (FAI)
Xan - Elf Enchanter - (Nashkel Mine lvl 4 (I actually missed him when I first played and ran Around with his sword for the rest of the game :rolleyes: ))

There are many other NPCs out there try and find them all

P.S. I noticed that you have Khalid but not Jaheira - were you careless enough to get her killed?

Ryan, there isn't really any "best choice" out there as far as NPCs go. Any combination of them can be used to play the game through. Some are just more challenging than the others. Just think about what you think a fun party would be and go for it.

That's right, as Katherine says there is no 'best' party except the one that suits your style of play at the time. If you want a party with all strong characters that make the game easy then go for Kivan, Minsc, Coran, etc. On the other hand you could make things more challenging by taking the weaker characters, who often have interesting personalities. The interaction between the NPCs is one of the best features of the game so give them all a try at some stage.

About the Jaheira thing...You know that trick when you make Jaheira or Khalid enter a house alone than dump them? I did that to Jaheira in the house at Nashkel :D Yes, Gorion probably would send me back to the orphanage for doing that :rolleyes:
