Everybody knows about Deathbringer assault, but is it common knowledge that with every swing he has a 10% !!!! chance to STUN a victim unless that one makes a save vs death at -4? THAT's a POWERFUL ability!

I'm pretty sure it's a 2% chance.
|
No, it's 10%. I can copy the statistics if you want. Deathbringer assault itself is a 3% chance.

IEEP, the SAREFF.spl(something like that) file:
STUN effect has a 0-10% chance. Deathbringer assault has a 97-100% chance. |
<span style="color: lightblue">I can confirm this... SAREVEFF.SPL: 3% chance of 200 Piercing Damage; 10% Chance of Stun (save vs. spells at -4).
Not all that powerful, though, considering that the piercing damage would be affected by piercing resistance (No Dispel/Bypass Resistance at 0xA7 would refer to magic resistance), and most powerful enemies in TOB will save against most things anyway, especially when they get a bonus to the save. |
However, many creatures have a horrible save against being stunned (like Kangaxx is very powerful, but can easily be stunned).

And -4 is still a huge penalty. I had a lot of use from it in many of the pre-Gromnir fights because those fighters tend to get nailed. You can then proceed the whack the snot out of those irksome mages.
