Also pls give us a HINT (not a spoiler yet) as to the order in which to press them? and does this provide u with the last key for the part in the middle where it summons creatures every time u insert + turn a key? THANKS for ur help! |
Assuming you know how to work the console, the item name is DAGG23. If you don't, let me know and I'll give ya a hand.

Pls tell me how? also any hints 4 watchers keep? |
Open "Baldur.ini" in the directory the game is installed and make sure "Cheats=1" is listed under game options. If it's not, put it there yourself. No spaces.
During the game, hit Control-Spacebar to open the Console. Then put: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("ITEM") Where Item is the name of the item. So you'd enter CLUAConsole:CreateItem("DAGG23") |
As for that area... The buttons and whatnot don't get you through. If you can access them, the way is already clear. The combinations are found on scribbled notes found throughout the Keep. Following the notes' directions can increase your stats. Several notes are on the first floor. Have fun, but choose carefull, I believe you can only increase four stats. After that, it does something unpredictible. Most are bad. It might kill you, drain experience, or even give you some gems. Use caution.

Amen. I have LOTS of fun playing with the machine! It's a game of the gods. Strip poker gets old when you're almost a demigod.
Will it really *let* you work the machine all seven times to increase all of that? I was under the impression it would only let you use it a limited number of times. |
As far as I can tell, TheWiseFool isn't asking how to work Lum's machine, but the coloured dials on the level BELOW lum's machine. Yes you do get the key from working the dials. IIRC you don't have to press them in any particular order, you have to use the coloured globes you get when you press them with the coloured containers to get the key.
Illumina, I remember from using the machine that you can use it to get all your stats increased, however you can't increase them more than once. There's also IIRC a combination to get some experience. Unexpected things happen when you put in combinations that aren't on the notes, not because you've used it too many times |
There is a combination to increase magic resistance, and there might be one for experience. I don't know, but I got it (experience) randomly.
If I was wrong, than I admit my error. I only did the Keep once. I'm fixing to head on over a bit later in my current game... Till then, I must bow to those who have done it more recently. |
