I started off attalking 4 fission slimes, but each time I kill them, they duplicate. I think I'm facing about 20 or so right now, I haven't counted. How do I kill him?

Edit: through my stupidity, I just used an ADHW on them and now there's 42 of them to be exact...

Next time you run across a copy of Elminster's Ecologies, read it. Its got some useful information on the more unusual monsters around.

Fission Slimes are vulnerable to fire.

Wand of Fireballs, dude. What's the problem?

Dragon's breath worked fine, but I had to cast it 4 or 5 times to get rid of them all...
And I don't keep any wands on me. To me, they seem pretty useless (for ToB, at least, they were very nice for BG1). My own spells are much better than that of a wand. You might say that wands don't cause you to use up spells, like I am doing, but I could simply cast a wish spell in an attempt to get my spells back, and I occasionally get the 'rest' option

Dude, in my opinio, wands rock. They are usually quick and can be deadly. Especially cloudkill wand .

Deadly. To the party, if you're not careful. That's why I love Dragon's Breath and Comet, they exempt the party.

I guess the feeling is that by that time, the mage casting can shape the areas of spells like any archmage worth her spell components, and is intelligent enough to remove the party from the area of effect.

rofl

I just got to this part.... after getting myself up to something like 30 slimes.... I used imp alacrity, time stop, and laid down 3 ABHW's ....

Good God almighty, that was a lot of slimes.... it was only then that I came here and found out how to kill them.

My mage thief laid down some fireballs, and my sorceror started sparking off the Sunfire mojo.

They are now all officially dead.

ok, I wonder, is it ok for me to post a reply now that it is already ressurected? or should i post a new one anyways and let this one die?

anyways, i was wondering if you get experience for each of the slimes you kill? even if they are duplicates?

that would pretty much be inf. experience...
