I am playing BGII again for the first time in years only this time I have a much better computer. I am amazed at all the things that have been incoporated into this game. For the first time I got to see all the graphics that had been put into this game. And the romances...very cool it added a level of playing that I had never experience before.

Me I am not the usual gamer before I play a game, I look at the story that is behind the game and if it has a good storyline then I will play it. I am not into adventure, just RPGs. And Baldur gate had just that element into it so I started playing and I liked it, when the sequel came out I picked that up too.

Though I was dissapointed with some of the bugs that I had encounter I.E. the stuttering Jaheira and also the lack of romance partners (nothing against elves but do I have to love an elf? IMoen hmmmn) But I give huge kudos to interplay for what they had accomplished, a huge highly enjoyable gaming world that in my mind cannot be beat.

Well my point is this, I am looking for a new game to play, and I am wondering do you guys have any recommendations for me? And do you agree with what I am saying. (Probably been said a hundred times already)

Have you also played BG1? If you havn't, you should definately take a look into that.
I have currently started playing Wizards and Warriors again after about 3 years or so, and it still seems like a great game to me. Maybe you would want to check that out. IW even has a forum for it.
That's all I can think of right now, my brain won't think right as I'm seeing the Yankees lose to the Marlins right now. I'll try to come up with some more later.

you might wanna try the Icewind Dale series. not a very strong plot, no joinable NPC(thus no romances), but a whole lot of combat using the great 2nd and 3rd edition rules.

another game that might be worth a try would be The Temple of Elemental Evil. havent tried it yet, but am definately going to.

last but not least, Neverwinter Nights. the first one isnt all that good, but ive heard good stuff about the second one, and then theres gonna be a third one aswell...

In my opinion one of the best games graphically and plot wise is Wizardry 8. I think this is my all-time favorite RPG at the moment
