Have you guys finished the game with druids or clerics?
Wich one is the harder, I wonder.

The Druid, in my opinion has the best spells.
But the cleric is more eficient healer, even though the kits can make it better than a druid.

So, what is your choice?

I would take a druid:
It has all the healing spells.
It has decent attack spells.
It has some excellent HLAs.
You can shapeshift to other creatures.

Druid

Absolutely druid.shapeshift and some quit good spells.

If we exclude Dualclassing and Multiclassing, then I will go with the Druid.

Jaheira is quite a powerful NPC with her Druid/Fighter multiclass. It's a nice combo, however, it prevents Druid from advancing too far

I actually hold that Clerics and Druids are roughly equal, spell-wise, although Druids do have a slight edge--mostly due to their Insect spells. But where the big discrepancy hits is their equipment: Druids can't use jack. They've got Shadow Dragon scale and Impaler, sure, but Clerics have Full Plate, Crom Faeyr and Saving Grace.

While I can agree with all the other good points I can't see why people always note the shapeshifting ability of the druid to be such a desirable thing.

In my opinion and experience the shapeshifting powers of the druid are rather redundant. The ordinary animal forms are sub-par even from the start of SoA and the Elemental Transformation HLA is less effective than casting spells and summoning or, if you are a fighter/druid, meleeing in (demi)human form.

Sure the Avenger's monstrous shapeshift forms have some merit with their in-built haste and all, but they are only really useful in the beginning of SoA.

Unless you are a (rebalanced) shapeshifter there are really not that much point to that shapeshifting business.

Now let us not forget about DoE,FoA and Armor of Faith...

I prefer Clerics...

Now... go play a C/R and have both from the best worlds!
