Hey all. I am getting ToB in the very near future, and had just a few questions.

*Will Shadow Keeper still work with ToB installed?

*Can I download and install the Tactics mod? (Does it require ToB?)

*Aside from the new class kit, Wild Mage (a mage kit, right?), are there any new races (eg. drow, svirfneblin etc.) aside from using SK?

*What are your opinions on the Wild Mage?

*Should I install ToB before I play SoA or afterwards (does it make any major changes if installed when you have a half completed game?)

I am currently playing my characters through in Baldur's Gate TotSC, so it could be a while before I am actually playing ToB and posting questions on this board :D

Thankyou muchly in advance,

Moiraine Sedai

- SK will work with TOB - just make sure you've got the last version.

- some of the TACTICS components require TOB. You can install the SOA components without TOB. If you install TOB first then add the official TOB patch as well as the Baldurdash TOB fixpack before adding *any* MODs

- I'd install TOB before you play SOA - you get improvements such as the TAB highlight key and access to the assorted High Level Abilites when your characters get sufficient XP. There is only 1 area common to both SOA and TOB so you're not going to ruin anything - you might find some nice goodies however :D

- SK will work, as per the other person said, you need the latest version

- You can install tactics moods like, tougher opponents etc.

- No new races

- Wild Mages are ok if you like a challenge

- Well IMHO I'd install it first but I would also advise you to start a new game if you install ToB

Hope this helps.

The wild mage is the reason I bought ToB. Period. Try searching for "wild mage" on this board. I've written a testimonial, and a few other people have too. And the "best wild surge" stories are must-reads.

Install ToB. The experience cap raises (to 8 million exp?), mages can scribe 9th-level spells, you can use the TAB key to highlight hard-to-see objects ("now where did that corpse drop its loot?"), and explore a new area in SoA. Most of ToB, however, will start at the end of SoA.

</font>
If you know how to use the wild mage class, then it can truly become an extremely powerful class. You just need to know what to do, and it also helps spice up the game
Some of it also gives funny effects, like having the person you are romancing with have a sex change wild surge :D
