If you have a mage thief character, can you backstab with Spells such as chill touch, vampiric touch etc? I tried a mage thief simply because its something i have never done, but i have yet to get these spells. Is it possible?

I don't think so, but I have never tried myself so try it and see, it could work.

<font color="cyan">You could go into stealth mode, cast the spell (which would take you out of stealth) and then attack. You wouldn't get a backstab multiplier.</font>

Some of those 'touch' spells last for a while, so maybe if you cast it while not in the enemy's direct line of sight, then went back to shadows and came up from behind it would work.

You need one of the weapons listed on the list..i.e short sword, dagger etc.
