hello again,

upon installing ToB, i had hoped to finish playing my SoA game (i was only on chapter 2) before importing everyone into the expansion. when i try to start an SoA game, however, the game asks for disc 2, and doesn't respond when i place disc 2 into the drive. if i attempt to start the game with disc 2 already in place, the result is the same - it acts as if some other cd is in the drive. i know this is more of a technical question, but the people at interplay haven't given me any response in almost a week now. i was wondering if any of you have encountered similar problems and, if so, how you got around them.

? After installing ToB, the only CD you will ever need to use to play, is the ToB CD. Use the ToB CD instead. If it fails to start, your installation might be corrupt.

If it fails, backup your save folder and go to the Add/Remove Programs in your Control Settings and uninstall BG2. Reinstall after that in the following order,

SoA
ToB
ToB Official Patch
ToB Baldurdash Fixpack

Good to know. I haven't done a full SoA install, so I'm guessing that's why I still need those CDs to play the game? Maybe I'll clear some space and copy everything over upon re-installation.

I've been waiting approximately 2 years for a response to a mail I sent them about some Icewind Dale problems (which I've never actually played since tbh).

Can anyone beat 2 years as a come back time for tech support?
