ok ive had a strange probem with the viconia...and the jaheria romances ......all progresses well thru soa right to the final battle but once entering the start of tob they say nothing.....recently added weidu ascention as the original winzip version tended to be troublesome at times........all the sarevok immy dialog no probs but after the battle with yaga i remember viconia carrying on about how glorious all the bloodshed must be and the romance continues........any tips or steps that should be taken through soa to ensure the romance continues through to tob as i have heard the tragic ending of viconia in the original tob is somewhat different with ascention but she hasnt said boo and im now in sendais lair.......any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated as i will go back to soa if neccessary....also had viconia practically from the beginning of soa....

From what I've read, the Jaheira romance is bugged, but I don't know about Viconia. I've never tried to use her.

I doubt that Viconia's romance is bugged. I've never had problems with it. Previously, I used to lower the global variable for the romance. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If you do lower the variable, it'd be smart to keep a log for the various numbers. If something screw up, you can always go back. [img]smile.gif[/img]

You have to do the complete romance in SoA before the ToB components will trigger.

Which means a lot of sitting around and scratching your bum :D

What exactly is the completion of the romance of viconia in soa.................final dialogs ect..............sry but i dont know anything about lowering variables .........also is the romance dialog quest activated or based on time?

If you've done everything right, the SoA romance will conclude at the end of Chapter 6. You know if you've done everything right if something major happens to your loved one during the main Chapter 6 quest. ;)

(Please don't ask me to spoil more--much more fun to find out these things for yourself.)

If nothing has happened romance-wise for about 30 minutes after the start of ToB, the romance is most likely off.

You can download ShadowKeeper from http://www.mud-master.com/shadowkeeper/. Load up your save game, find the Gloab Variables-tab, find a string called VICONIAROMANCE. Reduce it with a few numbers, though not too many. Make sure that the string below it, called VICONIAROMANCEACTIVE is atleast set on 1. 0 means the romance haven't started, 1 means that the romance is progressing, 2 means that the romance is a fact, the NPC has fallen in love with you, and 3 means that the romance is dead.

As I've said, if you do this, I urge you to save the original numbers of the variables you're editing. And be warned that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

is it when viconia is attacked by the servant of loth or can she be dominated by bhodi ...............spoil me as these things have both happened b4 but im running bg2 tob ascention on a new pc and those things happened on the old pc...........as i stated earlier im most qurious to see the romanced ending of viconia with ascention and i doubt ill lower the variable.....i have shadow keeper but only use it to alter party rep as im not big on shall we say cheating....thankyou for all your responses too people i have gone back to a saved game in soa and will see how things go
