Do a search on Abazigal, you will find tons of post on the subject. If you beat Draconis you should be able to take Abazigal without much difficulty unless you are using the mod with Improved Abazigal.

The Search will definitely help with general strategies, but if you post your party members & levels & what (if any) MOD's you have installed, maybe you can get some advice specific to your situation as well.

I had a really big problem with Abazigal too. But then I just surrounded him with my mages (main character, Imoen, Jan) before I started fighting, and I don't know why, but then I killed him really easily... I think it was because they were so far apart and he didn't keep attacking the weaker people. Hmm.

Two ways to beat him: The Easy way: 1-Sorcerer casts Time Stop and Improved Alacraty+almost whole spellbook-dead dragon The not-so-easy-way: 2-Take his defenses down,if you have a Paladin hack the dragon with Carsomyr and do a little backup with summons and such. |
Dragon guy right? Yeah, I had an awful time trying to kill him, and still haven't managed. He changes into a dragon and you're dead.
And what's all this about :"If you kill Draconis, Abigazal's easy?". No he's not. And where can you buys timestop and impoved accilar-whatsit? |
Improved alacrity is one of hte ToB HLAs. Any pure mage or sorceror should have it before you get to abazigal.
Time stop, I dont know where to get. I know my solo sorc got a scroll of it in SoA somewhere before the underdark. I suspect Arcara Archive's dosent have a copy. Time Stop isnt an essential, Improved Alacrity on its own should be deadly enough. Just remember to turn on auto pause : spell cast. One thing that helped my against abazigal is that if you get him to change form while in the small passage to the south, he gets stuck. Makes wing buffet substantialy less of a pain when he cant follow it up. |

Nope, it's tactics
I usually blow him behind the pillars using a few dragon's breaths and maybe the RotR, works like a charm |
