In the first city in TOB, where you meet melissan while the city is under seige, there is a young boy who asks you to heal his father. His father is the dead guy in front of the boy. I tried casting raise dead/ressurection, but it wouldn't let me cast it on him, as if he was just scenery. Do you know if there is a way to heal the boy's father?

Select your resurrection-capable character and have them talk to the boy. You'll do it through a dialogue option, it's a cutscene. I have no idea if you actually need raise dead/res memorised for this - I've only done it a couple of times, with a Cleric (never tried Jaheira + Harper's Call), and I've never checked.

This tiny quest gets on my nerves a bit - IIRC it's the only time you can raise a person outside your party and it just begs the question why you can't do it in other more pressing situations.

It also works if you have a Rod of Resurrection...

I find raise dead in one of the quick spell slots and a rod of resurrection works [img]smile.gif[/img]

What's the reward? Exp?

Heh. I generally use up my rod of resurrection in chapter two. I'm that bad ^_^ Can't remember the reward offhand, think its about 5xp and warm fuzzies for being nice.

A rep. point if you don't ask for gold.

My rep would have been 22 at the end of SOA if it could go above 20. I also have a lot of gold. Which should I choose?

Be the character, what would he/she do? ;)
