What is goin on with Cespenar? I went to talk to him about some more weapons, and this big list of crap came up about "Joseph", Jaheira, Nalia and so forth. I can't get the upgraded list of weapons to come up. Did I miss something when I installed the mods, because I'm lost.

Oh no, now I know what screwed up... the Nalia mod. I thought you were supposed to download it into the main directory like the other mods, and now Cespenar is sayin what Nalia's supposed to say, bloody hell. Now how do I clean this up?

Gangrell 01-19-2003 12:52 AM

Ohh CRAP! It's even worse than that, everyone's dialogue is screwing up!

Oh man, don't tell me I gotta delete everything...

the only thing i can suggest for you is to reinstall... just save your games, portraits and sounds into a whole new different folder (plus patches too) then uninstall and reinstall the game again... and put back your stuff again in their original folder.

I did that. See, it didn't have the instructions on where to install it like the other mods did, so I used some lousy common sense to think that it must go into that folder too. It unzipped 142 files, plus another 3. But only 2 NALIA files showed up, so I deleted them, plus the overide folders that had them too. So, I go back in and talk to Cespenar again, but this time, there's a BIG gap between what I say, and "No, I don't need anything right now."

I even tried to load a saved data at the end of the game. And magic like regeneration, dark essense, and so on was casting itself on my characters. So, I figured I pretty much screwed everything up. Hooray, :(

Hmm, in that case I'd follow Harkoliar's advice, if I were you:

Just uninstall the entire game (make sure to delete the contents of the override folder as well after uninstalling the game!) and re-install all the expansions, patches and mods in the right order. With a little bit of luck, you could just continue the game at the point you're at right now. But I can't guarantee that, unfortunately. :(

Actually I did that too, uninstalled both of them, that's when it started goin haywire with the spells. Oh man, I can't believe this. Over 65 hours of playing down the drain, ugh. Can someone do me a favor, and tell me exactly where and how to install the Nalia mod. (Unfortunanetly, me and my dad know a lot about computers, and not even he could figure out what to do, so I just deleted everything, and reinstalled all the mods, felt like throwing my computer out the window... literally)

Thanks anyway guys.
