On a more constructive note, you might want to consider downloading some mods to increase the already-high replayability value of BG2. This is a comprehensive list of various WeiDU (Weimer Dialogue Utility) mods for BG2. I personnaly recommend the Tactics, Ascension, Solaufein, Kelsey, Ease-of-Use, Valen and Item Upgrades mods. I tried to play IWDII, but it is too boring. The game has no soul. No joinable NPCs, LINEAR!, 3rd edition sucks (except saving throws, this is much better).
