I'm having a bit of trouble in the Sendai enclave, where the tons of Duergar and Orcs attack you. There's just so damned many. Advice?

Bizzare as it may sound, keep pushing forward and do not stay still. The duergars are scripted to keep spawning infinitely until you advance to the next spawning spot. Use summons to ease away the duergars and you will eventually reach the end.
On a side note, this spot is Xp heaven. ;) |
Honestly, how are they supposed to expect you to figure that out? I must have stood there for about an hour before I finally figured it out. And those Duergar are no little babies either.

Thanks for the replies. Sendai is now merely a dark greasy spot on the flagstone floor.

Frankly, I figured out pretty soon that the Slavemaster is the important thing. Smack it and no more slaves, and he'll end up in the area end. But I liked to smack the druegar's, XP was good :D

Well, I had become spread out as I had some folks stay back to hold the line from those coming in from the rear. Before I'd gotten them all together, each PC, and some Simulacrums as well, was summoning monsters and casting and fighting 3-6 enemies a piece. Because I'd spread out pretty far, only keeping 2 front-runners on the go, I was dealing with almost all spawning spots at once. Everything was still fine, but somehow SlaveMaster got lucky and geeked my PC. By the time I posted, I knew to go after S-M, but I was just wondering about crafty tactics I might have been missing.
