ToB tells me it need to unistall when i try to install, but it was never installed in the first place. So i can't install ToB because my computer seem to think i already have, but the disc still tells me to install not play. This is very frustrating. thanks

So uninstall it!
What happens? If doesn't work, wait for someone smarter to help you ;) . Reinstall the game as a last resort. |
It gives me an error when i try to unistall it, then boots me from the install program.

I think I recall seeing this as a known bug for the game. Head over to either www.interplay.com or www.bioware.com and check our their troubleshooting pages under this game. Good luck!

Backup your save games, then uninstall SoA. Make sure to manually remove any leftover folders.
Then reinstall in the following order, 1) SoA 2) ToB 3) ToB Official Patch 4) Baldurdash ToB Fixpack Official ToB Patch ToB Fixpack [ 10-31-2002, 10:03 AM: Message edited by: Dundee Slaytern ] |

Try to copy it. I've read the liscense (Spelling!) and you can make a single copy for backup purposes. Try to copy it, can theoretically it should not copy the error! Or get some of that CD Scratch Remover stuff. You can actually clean off scratches! ;) |
Registry trouble, I think.
Start->run->regedit. Be careful with it, but what you want to do is remove all refereneces to Baldurs Gate and Bioware. Should work. |
