How do you get inside the desert fortress? I forget what it is called, but the one that Balthazar owns. Did you have to do it through the dialouge when I first met him, or is it behind the door in Vorduve (sp?)'s cave? The one that needs a certain key to open? Or is ctrl J the only way in?

AFAIK there are 2 ways in. One requires Saemon Havarian's help. But if you gave that scuzzball a well-deserved death (And I hope you did), fear not for there is another way!

You can also go in thru' the Cave of the Dead, on the right of the monastery. You'll need a key which you can get from Faheed, also in Amkethran.

i believe since it is part of the story - there is only the one way in
you must go through the center door of the lich's room, but i got the door opened through Saemon {though i dearly wanted to kill him too} so if you killed him i'm not sure how to get that door open...

There is a third way... just massarce all the Monks and get a key to the front gates from the one wearing brown clothes.

You will offcourse need to kill Snedai and Abazigal first, for those options to come into play. If jeffio means that he cant go into the fortress, after his first talk with Balthazar, he's correct ... Just go kill some bhaalspawn and everything 'll fall into place [img]smile.gif[/img]
