The improved Irenicus in Hell, with the solaufain mod .... [img]graemlins/crying.gif[/img] !! help !!

I just barely managed to defeat the first group, thinking it was the only one... and i REALLY didnt like the surprise after that. Oh .. and somehow i can only choose to NOT turn into the slayer, bug ? (rep.= 11, neutral evil )

party:
me - cleric/mage 19/17
Tichondrius - sorcerer 22
Edwin -mage 22

The first wave of enemies ( dragon, irenicus, sarevok, beholder ) is managable, except for Sarevok .. since magic cant hurt him and he's VERY hard to hit. ( Timestops seem shorter, I cant unleash enough Energy-discs before its over, and in real-time i cant hit him with the discs 'cause of THACO ).

Any thoughts .. or stories on how you got throught the fight(s) ?

Oh .. and a special for Dundee, have you soloed this part with a sorcerer yet ?

Read the Mod's README file.
It offers plenty of tactics and tips about this battle (it contains the tactic i used).

My BG2 gaming is on hiatus at the moment actually. I am enjoying a action-filled romp through IWD:HoW+TotL now. I really want to see what TotL has to offer and besides, I have not completed IWD in Heart of Fury mode yet.

At least now I will be able to cast those level 9 spells... ...

try lower resistance to lower Sarevok magic resist, then cast slow on him...and other enchantment spell that will help. He will then become very weak.
Well...I think Irenicus the mage is more hard than Irenicus the slayer.

lower sarevoks resistance ? .. that's a little hard considering he has a permanent Protection from Magic-bulb around him :(

For the Wraith of Sarevok, use the Project Image cheese to gate in about 5 Planetars.
Have each Planetar cast Globe of Blades.
They should kill him.

Just be careful not to let the Planetar's GoBs hurt each other or it will set a chain reaction of hostile Planetars... ...

Too bad it is not like IWD where it is okay to hurt your summon(s).
