Who would be interested in a NWN versioned new sequel to the all time loved BG Saga. I have some time on my hands and am planning on making a large version of it... slowly released over the year.
So far the story line goes: Nestled with your beloved family of 4, you and Aerie are known affectionately as the legendary elves of the sword coast. You live in luxury at the much renevated Durlag's Tower. However, the blood of adventurers calls inside you and on hearing Minsc missing in action in the east, you feel unjustice and a stir. And from what you hear from Imoen's travels with Elminster, a storm gathers in the distant east... It seems that a force of evil is threatening factions good and evil alike. The Harpers claim it to be an undead demon The Draco Society claims it to be their latest Darcolich The Zhentariums have lost warriors and trade The Temple of Cyric claims their day has come and Drow are as usual involved in all things dark and strange Yet Elminster fears a worse evil in this land . . . It sounds like a good beginning, but this must be considered:
- What if one didn't romance Aerie? - What if you aren't an Elf? - What if you chose to become a God when ending ToB? |

For instance, change the name to your current romance. Aerie-Jaheira/Anomen. Or, just refer to you as you if you didn't romance. Change the race appropriate to what your race is, in comparison with your romance. If you chose to be a God, it says you hear from Cespenar, and need to save your Former Home of Candlekeep. Or many other possibilities. These are just some of mine :D Avatar: Great idea! EDIT: Longer Ending [ 10-02-2002, 08:22 AM: Message edited by: DJG ] |
Sounds GREAT,. Elfs are cool, and Aerie well, take out the whining ;) hehe.

Hmm, why not send everyone the script and they can ajust it themselves? For example, i play a female half-elf roamncing Kelsey-very far from Male/elf/Aerie, i fear
I love the idea, however, Avatar. |
How about something along these lines. An epic journey that causes you to practically travel halfway around Faerun. Two cities become involved in a trade war, causing sea battles, armies clashing across the land, and at the core of it a ruthless and ambitious young noble, clan, or guild, or whatever, who has helped fuel the war. Or whatever you want to add in there. Then the "child" of your bhaalspawn, hence the character you played in the BG series, or just some other character altogether bands with a close friend and together you travel across the lands, meeting companions along the way, hoping to become the saviors of Faerun by ending the war. Basically your a glory hound looking to get out of your small village and get into a life of adventuring. More ideas as they come to me.

That sounds exactly like BG1, except on a larger scale.

hmm, why not have it so you can keep you're "lineage" secret. after all, you "supposed" dissapeared after the Bhaalspawn saga... it would be the players choice, when to reveal it and to whom. ;) after all, fame isnt nessecarly a good thing (remembers BG 1 assassins, shudders). it could be a key element to teh story. ;)

What if you played solo..........?
|
How about this, you are the child of the bhaalspawn who saved Faerun, however something happened which caused you to be separated, and you were raised in a big city in an orphanage. You travel across Faerun trying to reestablish your lineage by following leads given to you by those who either fought by the side of your bhaalspawn parent or those who met, or recalled the epic journeys.
Or maybe I need more sleep....... |
