I'm playing a sorceror at the moment. I want to know what people think about cheating in some Gold Pantaloons, since sorcerors are unable to obtain them any other way. Comments welcome, of course :D

Since that's the ONLY way Sorcerors can get them, I have no problem at all. But what you also might consider doing is playing as a pure Mage though BG1, and then Shadowkeepering yourself into a Sorcerer in BG2.

How hard would it be to make the change from Mage to Sorc?
Editing spells, etc.

Kind of tricky, because there's always the temptation to give yourself a thousand spells per level or whatever.
I see no problem with cheating in gold pantaloons, 'cause I really cannot be bothered to play BG1 again.

Be easier to just make a sorceror with the same stats as your BG1 mage.

Or - would it be possible to make a sorceror kit for BG1? Or would a level 1 sorc suck to much?

On the original question - for the classes the cant get it legitmatley its not cheating. For those that can, it is if you have BG1 but its not one of those cheats id make a big thing over.

Well, it is cheating. After all, you are changing the game so you can have access to things you weren't meant to get. Either that, or you can consider it a manual patching process ;)
But it's a small cheat and should hardly upset the game balance, so I'll look the other way while you go about it

i did the same thing with my sorcerer. i mean why should you not be allowedsome kick ass armour simply because the class your playing wasn't in the first game? i say go for it
