I noticed that this attack seems to kill any enemy in a single hit. Does anyone know how often it happens, what it is exactly, and will it kill anyone?

The Deathbringer Assault is a special, Seravok only 'feat' - each successful attack by Seravok has, IIRC, 5% of doing 200 slashing damage.
It is, indeed, pretty amazing. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I do not know the exact statistics, but it occurs roughly at the same chance as Critical Hits(5%). It deals 200 damage which will kill most but not all enemies. Read Sarevok's character description for some background story on why he has this ability.
