Edwin
Korgan
Viconia
Jan
Sarevok

I am having trouble figuring out what would be the best class to add to this for my main character to play. The party will be kinda low on melee classes thru SoA until Sarevok joins in ToB. I was thinking maybe another fighter type. Maybe Kensai Mage or something.

If you wanna go evil, maybe download and install the Valen mod. She is a Chaotic Evil vampire that will join if you are evil. Plus you get a new class, Anti-Paladin... only available to evil characters. Might be a new twist to try.... :D

That's a good idea but if you don't want to do that play as a beserker. I played an evil beserker with ***** in two handed swords and he rocked. Him and Korgan were unstopable so try that if you want. I find you always need two tanks.

Instead of Jan, I used the Multiplayer thing to re-create Montaron. (My PC was a Cleric/Mage). I left the 6th slot open--more EXP for everyone, and I was able to pick up the other NPCs one by one, and ruin their lives. :D

Curious... I had my main character play an Assassin, and had Korgan, Viconia and Edwin... and that was it. Give it a try, four-character BG is... interesting. Mind you, once we got Sarevok on the team things got easier. My advice? Drop Jan! He's not evil, and he'll only drag down your party's style.

I have the Valen mod and I recommend trying out the Anti-Paladin. Can cast dispel magic, true sight and have a chance of dispel magic being cast on a successful hit!

If you want a complete mindbender, I tried the game playing Sarevok. Sarevok woke up in the dungeon, and with him I had created using multiplayer Davaeorn, Tamoko, Angelo, Slythe and Tazok - the original Bad Guy lineup from BG. It kind of fell apart and I had to try and ignore Imoen completely... and went toally insane once Sarevok REALLY shows up in ToB... but it was an idea.

I had the same party as you Blytz and I played a pure fighter (kensai). It was great fun. My evil party could kick my good party's butt. Edwin is powerful enoughenough to handle most of the magical duties and with sarevok and korgan by your side melee combat will be a walk in the park.

Fed up with the talking sword, my luckless paladin friend?
Using SK, I managed to make Boo an NPC...made him evil for the heck of it trying to level him up caused the game to crash, though.
