Is it possible to change the cloak of mirroring back to how it functioned before ToB. Previosly it acted as an infinite version of Spell Turning, reflecting all directly targeted combat spells back on the caster. Now it performs the function of Spell Deflection, which simply negates the spell effects.
Is it at all possible to change it back to it's old self?

Maybe there was a reason they made it less powerful..........

Thwy may have had a reason, but I've already played through the game several times, and once solo, so I'm probably entitled to have fun destoying beholders with their own eye rays.

Shield of Balduran.

Misled Exploit.

Devas/Planetars.

Who needs the Cloak of Mirroring to defeat Beholders cheesily? ;)

Haravard can use the Mislead Exploit and kill Beholders without taking a scratch as well. ;) Not to mention that you do not need to wait until Chapter 4 to get it.

Hang on, what mislead exploit?

The Infamous Mislead Exploit
-------------------------------

When you cast Mislead, you become both Invisible AND Improved Invisible.
By doing any action you'll break the Invisibility - BUT... The Improved Invisibilty stays!
So...
Nothing can break your improved invisibility - not even spellcating!
The only way to break your improved invisibility is by "True Seeing" your clone.
So...
If you cast the Mislead out of the enemy sight, you can whack him with anything - spells, melee, ANYTHING, and he can do NOTHING about it. Even if he cast True Sight - he can't dispel your Invisibility, because your decoy is out of his sight! ;)
