spoil me! whats up with these two baddies?

demi-lich - he fires off imprisonment spells like a machine gun.
I send in Aerie with spell trap but spells and whacking him doesn't hurt him. I did kill him once, but 2 npcs were imprisoned, after which I used scroll of freedom to release them, but I "couldn't initiate dialouge". So I started over. Any suggestions?

dragon - is he worth killing?

the mallet - where is it? I wiped out the whole illithid prison and all I got was one of the oils.

First off the demilich (did you never meet kangaxx the demilich in SOA?). Try sending just one guy in with a protection from undead scroll when he's protected from undead any undead the demilich included will just stad there doing nothing whilst you hack it to pieces (P.S you need +4 weapons to hit it)

Dragon - kill it if you want the staff of the ram (note when upgraded its one of if not the most damaging weapon in the game, in the hands of a good kensai with 5 proficiencies in staffs you can easilyr get off an average of between 50-60 damage in each hit)

Mallet- the mallet is not in the illithid section its behind the door where you light the big oil lanterns you need all 3 oils to open it, I wont spoil it by telling you the combination you light them in (if you get stuck just post again)

Hmm i can see the problem you are having. I have found that distractions work well in situations such as this. Try placing a wizards eye near the lich then attacking from a distance. Ring of ram also works well to move him out of attack range until you cast your spells.
As for killing dragons hehe they are always worth it.

I didn't have a hold from undead scroll, but I used this techique which worked well.

I used my mine Char (thf/mage/fghtr) and Aerie, both protected by Abjuration. SHe used two rings of ram while I whacked away with a GWW attack with the crom fayer and the flail of ages. He's dead, now.

Thanks for the input on the dragon, he lasted 3 rounds.
