One- The best Throwing Axe in the game (Kl'glorath) and arguably the best armor in the game (the one that makes you immune to Backstab and grants +5% Magic Resistance) can be bought from Carras the Smuggler in Amkethran. So says GameBanshee, anyway. But when I go there and do right by the smugglers, those items are nowhere to be found. Is this a game-version issue? Do I need to download a patch to get them? It kinda sucked with my Fighter/Mage who sided with the Shadow Thieves: I was Neutral and therefore couldn't use Azuredge, so my best ranged weapon was Hangard's Axe+2. Not that much good, when I should be using a +4 weapon.
Two- I've searched high and low, near and far, and have yet to find a chart showing how much EXP the different classes need to Level Up in ToB. I found a good chart showing all the SoA values, and I extrapolated off of that to get a good idea of ToB, but it's not correct, and I've got no clue what happens with Druids. Their EXP table seems to loop over itself like a Mobius strip. Can anybody help me out, please? |
1) It is not armour, it is magical boots that grant you the backstab immunity. They are called the Gargoyle Boots.

2) Read the manual... ... |
6,
The ToB manual has a full table at the back. |
Their is also an armor that provides immunity to backstab - I just can't remember what it is called
You have to seach the smugglers inventory carefully - I missed all the good items the first two times I played through ToB. |
One- In my game, Carras doesn't stock the Boots either. No Kl'glorath, no Enkidu's Full Plate, no Gargoyle Boots. I didn't even know the Boots were supposed to be in the game, legally.
Two- I must admit that I don't have a ToB manual. My friend was visiting Malaysia, where his grandmother used to live, and bought BG2 and ToB while there. He mailed me the CDs to make sure the game worked and he didn't get ripped off by buying some beta version or something. (And, except for the Carras thing, everything seems to be in order.) Yep, I'm sure it's a pirated copy, but at least it wasn't ME who bought it. I paid full price for the legit retail versions of BG1/ToSC, anyway. But that leaves me without a ToB manual, and therefore without a ToB EXP chart that I can transfer to my online Guide. Does anyone know where I can find a chart on the Web? Or maybe somebody could just copy one class's EXP progression (like the Druid) and post it here? Please? *Big, sad Bambi eyes* |
Oh, come on--Won't ANYBODY copy an EXP column out of the manual for me? I'm going to be stuck with publishing a chart that has an incomplete Druid column, and Cleric/Monk and Thief/Bard columns that I know are wrong.
Anyone? |

Well, given the frequency with which I've seen things like "Precisely How to beat Kangaxx," "Everything You Always Wanted to Know about the Staff of the Magi (but were afraid of the Twisted Rune)," and "The Exact Coordinates of the Ring of Wizardry," I was hoping for a little more than zilch, when all I need is the ToB half of the EXP charts for three measly classes. And it's not like I'm not a regular contributor, myself, either--anyone who's read the Naughty Boy threads knows this. And I don't want the data for ME--it's going to be put into a Guide, for YOU. (Well, in general.)
