Near the end of TOB, before you face amelinsane; you have to destroy your pocketplane; Is there a way to save cespinar from 'exploding' along with your pocket plane? At some point in the game, when you first meet him, I think he says he cannot die while you are alive, something like 'Oh but you cant great lord, it would only hurts poor me hurts'... I *did* find an item on Shadowkeeper, some genie bottle that allows you to summon him, but, I wanted to know if there was a 'legal' way to save him, without cheating, but if not, the ends justify the means...
anyone have an opoin/comment on this?? |
Cespenar is the servant of the Lord of Murder - at the moment he works for you since your the closst thing. He should return to you after you become the true Lord of Murder should you go that route. there is not other way to do it.
BTW what genie flask? |
Cespenar also said that you created him 'again'. He doesn't really seem to bother too much about being destroyed, and I woulnd't really worry it. It's worse for the NPCs you may have called to the pocket plane and ordered to wait ;)
Anyway, I noticed the bottle too, but I've no idea where to legally get it. It's not really nessecary either, as you can go to the pocket plane at almost any time, and before the final fight you have plenty of oppertunity to finish your weaponry. You won't find much after. |
I suppose you *have* got a point about cespinar no caring about dying, but i dunno, it just seems 'wrong' to leave him out there to die... it goes against the grain (playing as a ranger, a NG...even if he *is* an imp...) It almost feels like there are 'lose ends' on tob, almost rushed. I liked cspinar in a warped kinda way. oh well.

I checked out this bottle, (itemcode BOTSMITH if you're interested). It seems to create another Cespinar, apparently it does nothing in SOA, but make the summoning noise (like a heavy door opening), but when you use it in the pocket plane there pops forth another Cespinar. Perhaps this item was a throwback to a previous build of TOB, before the developers decided to make cespinar unkillable, or perhaps originally the bottle was in one of the boxes in the pocketplane and you had to release him from it to create him. The point is since Cespinar is unkillable, the bottle is little more than a novelty. Maybe if Neverwinter Nights has all the items from BG1&2 in it, then it could be used to take Cespinar with you

Cespenar is just awesome, Id kill myself (not literally) to see him die. OOoo Shiney ones!!
|
I just LOVED testing out my spells on him. Heh, poor little guy.
|
Well he does have that spell deflection thing on him...
I wondered if you could convince that female Imp in WK to follow you and get to know Cespenar...hehe (if you read his dialogue he asks for a female imp you know...) |
Where is the female im in WK?
|
yeah cespinar *does* mention something about 'having no life; not even a cute imp girlfriend' or something similar. i laughed at that... and even tried playing as an evil mage simply to try to get them to talk to each other... unfortuanlty, they wouldnt.
