i just got a crossbow named firetooth and it looks pretty good is it a weapon that i should keep?

You need the bowstring of gond from sendai's enclave, and get cespanar to upgrade it for you.

Cespenar is your butler, loyal servant, weapons upgrader and all round hilarious imp. He can be found in your pocket plane, flying around. Hard to miss.
