I know that you put together the flail at Nalia's Keep with the first 3 heads. Now I have a fourth (poison), but I can't do anything at Nalia's Keep. Who puts this fourth head onto the flail?

Cespenar the imp does when you go into the Throne of Bhaal expansion. there is also another head hidden in the expansion that does lightning damage.

Oooooo yeah, then you get flail of ages +5, Beautiful i don't remember all of it's characteristics but is Beautiful.

The most powerfull flail...

Wait until you get the two new flais and voila...

How much does it cost to upgrade? 5000 gp, right?

lroyo 05-08-2002 05:01 PM

Thanks guys, I haven't started the ToB section yet, so it all makes sense now!

Bristowe 05-13-2002 06:19 AM

I don't know, i thought the original +3 was better because it slowed opponents 100% of the time, the +5 only slows 30% or something...

theifprowess 05-13-2002 07:38 AM

the +5 costs 10,000 and slows opponents 30% and instead of dealing 1d6+3 +1fire cold and acid
it deals 1d6 +6 +2 fire cold acid elctric and poison
also grants permanet free action a 5%MR
and if he got the poion head that means he has tob is doing watchers keep to early on soa. the electric head is found

I know this may be a little late..but I had the flail in the Shadows of Amn....but when I started Throne of Bhaal Minsc did not have the flail any more. But, I found 2 new heads for it. So what happened to the flail? Did I do something wrong when I started the expansion game?

teardropmina 05-30-2004 06:48 PM

lehmag,

how did you start ToB? did you start a NEW game? or did you play through the end of SoA?

btw, I think with FoA+3, there's a chance each it would slow the enemy, but how great a chance is not specified. I hardly think it's 100%. If it is, the description should say, each hit slows the target; I doubt that's the case

Nerull 05-30-2004 10:23 PM

I seem to recall the chance of slowing for the original FoA +3 was 15%. Can't remember off hand, and I'm too lazy at this moment to go look. Either way I can say that the upgraded FoA has a higher chance of slowing than the non-upgraded version.
