Hi, posting this just in case someone else has had a similar problem. When I installed ToB, everything went peachy. No trouble, nufin. Then, when I go onto the screen where you have to pick either SoA or ToB, there is the text box but no writing. Okay, I'm thinking, I can get through this. BUT WHEN I START THE GAME THERE IS NO WRITING IN THE CONVERSATION PANEL! THERE ARE JUST PORTRAITS!!!!! This only happens in ToB, SoA is fine.

I reckon your dialogue.tlk file has become corrupted. If you have IEE (www.teambg.com) on your sysytem you can check it for yourself, but whatever the problem a re-isntall should fix it.

If you have external (= not officaly supported) patches installed. Thats the problem.

only speech problem I noticed was if your character is Silenced. is this not the case?
