In the Maze, my first encounter was with Tahazzer... since all of my party members were good and some neutral I have slain him. After wandering in the mazes for some more time I encountered Ka'rashur, who asked me to kill Tahazzer. I said I already did that and had the heart with me to proove it. So I gave the heart and received the thanks of Ka'rashur(and friends), 20000xp each-char, the Thieves Hood and a Gem. But only a second later Ka'rashur said that I have betrayed him and he and the other good(?) hell creatures started to attack my group.
My question is: Why? (I already tried: dropping all my group's stuff before going to Ka'rashur except for the heart; shutdown ToB and restarted it again...) |
Dont worry, these guys are as evil as the first lot. I cant remember which bunch is which, but the tanari and the baatezu have been fighting the blood war for millenia (at a minimum) and so its not surprising that the maze is home to a miniature version of it. Personaly I always wipe out all of them anyway, there is no real advantage to keeping them alive.
If the second bunch are the tanari then their chaotic evil and would likly break their word in any event, unless bound by one of the Powers. Even the baatezu are hardly trustworthy though. |
Tnx for your reply :)
That they gave me some items and a second later they were attacking my surprised me but since they're EVIL I saw no problem in killing them... and of course the xp ) (about 54000xp for the boss demon) |
Heya Ociral,
Welcome aboard Dutchie. Baatezu are Lawful Evil, hence you could try to trust their word but I wouldn't since my characters are by definition LG / NG / CG. The Tanari are even worse, since they're Chaotic Evil, so you can't trust them and killing them should be considered your first and only option in dealing with them ;) |
