from my good experiances with it i'd love to reccomend all of you to the Solaufein Romance Mod Pack at

not just for the romance (although it does give females another option besides Anomen and sola is pretty cool) but it comes with *alot* of extras for improving monster AI, and in some cases outright boosting the mobs, im doing a solo with this installed and so far ive been quite impressed with the enhanced random encounters, and the buff to mae var made finishing the guild quest....much harder (hell before this mentioned it i never knew mae var was really a mage/thief, with his armor on he is just never able to cast).

lots of other improvements too (improved guarded compound, improved mind flayers, improved bodhi, improved beholders, improved caster ai, improved SoA dragon ai ect)

i enjoyed it so i thought i'd give the author a bit of a public kudos

its SoA/ToB/Acension compatable

also the site has alot of other stuff on it
links to other mods/add-ons mainly, also has a link to a lovely download that can change the graphic on the cloak of mirroring (and the spell trap spell) so they dont produce the hit to your video

i always wondered why soulafein wasnt made an npc as he clearly doesnt like the underdark.......and i gathered he wasnt too wrapped about being phares servant.
Maybe he could follow in drizzt's footsteps.....

heh these people update like mad, i havent had the sola pack very long at all, but i just checked back to their site and i was already 2 versions out of date heh =)

This is probably getting old now but have u tried the ascention mod?
Its a total blast and makes the story far more interesting with various new options to pursue.
Its not for the faint hearted tho....

Ive just been attacked bt a kensai or something like that who want the celestial fury.......just came out of the underdark.......
what the f....k!?he or she reflects spellstrike back as some form of acidic back lash.........five planetars and a really tough group couldnt inflict any damage on this person....its part of the upgraded twisted rune slave lords compound............can u or anyone elighten me on this ridiculous character?(by the way i summonned 5 planetars through the project image cheese)
Who ever this person is they deal out 30-60 damage standard.........i dont mind a challenge but this persons tougher than meliisan

hes not part of the improved guarded compound

hes a wu-jen who collects katanas, once you obtain malakar or celestial fury he will show up and demand you give it to him or he'll attack you

He's a 13th level Kensai, 14th level Mage dual-class. That's a powerful
combination, but he's not invulnerable. However, he is wearing equipment
similar to what your PC is probably wearing (e.g., Ring of Gaxx, Cloak of
Mirroring, etc.). Did you memorize Protection From Acid? :) Anyway, try to
breach his protection from magical weapons and his stoneskin. He's big on
re-casting that from scrolls. In fact, he doesn't like to engage you
without pro-magery cast. He also likes to cast Death Fog at spellcasters
who might possibly breach him, so be wary. He attacks spellcasters first,
so protect your spellcasters with Pro-Magery. He uses the "cast and attack"
strategy, so watch out.

careful he also uses spell immunity-abjuration so getting his protections gone gets fun =)
