I don't understand the Globe Machine at all. I may have missed something.

I understand that each time you select a button of a particular colour, you fight monsters of exponentially higher levels, and that you recieve a globe after defeating each group, and that the last globe you receive of each colour cannot be used for anything but the machine.

What I don't understand, is what to do with the spare globes I end up with. I expected them to turn into potions or something. I'm sure the answer is right in front of my nose.

the globs can go into your quick item slots and be cast from there. The problem is they are wild magic and you do not know what wil happen when you use them. I di dnto have the guts to use any but kept some handy just incase I was about to die and I had to try anything

i just stick them in their appropriate colored pole ...4 purple orbs in the purple pole..............they are of no real use to my knowledge
