I can not seem to kill the lich. He is located in the 4 th level of the tower. If I do manage to kill him it is only after several if not all of my characters are imprisioned? I would ask for some help in this most aggrevating situation.

use the same strats that you would vs kangaxx

if you have berserkers, have them go berserk, use scrolls of protection from magic/undead, use spell immunity abjuration

pack weapons that are +4 or better

(btw if you have a protection from magic scroll, use it on *him* it not only protects the target from magic it also stops the effected person from casting)

A good dose of Keldorn with Protection from Evil should do it, especially if you have a certain magic-dispelling sword in his hand.

Any magic user should cast spell trap, then improved alcat, obviously protect fighters and so on as above mentioned. As soon as you enter the room hit him with dragons breath ...it rarely fails for me.

I had much the same trouble. As soon as I stepped into the room, my main character would be imprisoned - end of advnture! I tried everything (including ALL abjuration spells), but to no avail.
I gave up in the end and moved on.

I assume that you are referring to the Demi-Lich that resides in the Gith camp.

Nononono, cast Spell Immunity( lvl 5 Mage spell), and select the school of Abjuration. This will render your spellcaster immune to Imprisonment attacks.

Protection from Undead scrolls are useful too, and Berserkers have their rage.

Also, you can choose to send in only one person into that room. I sent Aerie in with Spell Immunity on and whacked the Demi-Lich with the Mace of Disruption +2. Never has a battle been so one-sided, so... fast.

A normal Mage/Sorcerer can cast Spell Immunity too and then cast either Dragon's Breath or Comet. One hit and the Demi-Lich is toast.

send in your main character in alone and turn him into the slayer

CabraHispana 04-27-2002 09:43 AM

My way to kill him was using 'Sun stones' (they always do harm to the Lich) with Anomen, Valygar, etc, using the hability of 10 attacks per turn and casting at least 2 or 3 fire elemmentals with the weapon that casts them, don't remember the name. I suggest you sending your warriors and explorers and Anomen and well, good luck!
