I know this may sound pretty dumb...but what does the climb ability do???I heard that the thieves possess the climb command...does it really allow you to climb walls???If yes, please state how. Thanks for those who posted.

I'm not sure on this one, but i think it's only when you play the D&D game, but i'm not sure, i've never heard anybody talk on the forums about it, and i've never used it myself

Climb isn't really an ability, along with the read languages thing. Its used in real D&D, but not in the BGseries, so i'm guessing they just put it there cuz its in the real D&D, but it has no purpose.

It actually IS used, but only once--when you're climbing the ladders in Vangoethe's cave in Amkethran. If your DEX is too low or your encumbrance is too high, you fail your roll, fall on your ass and take damage.

But that's the only time it's used, so it was pointless to have the game talk about it anywhere else.
