I opened up the last seal in AR 3019, that's the final guardians. However after the battle start for around 2-3 sec, it kicks me to desktop and pop up an error message...

"Assertion failed in ChDataType.cpp at line number 250"

Is there any solution? I'm using WinXP... if that does matter...

these assertion errors drove me insane - they really appeared from nowhere and then just got worse. i tried everything. what i advise is re-installing the game - and if you're running on win98, make sure you haven't got more than 512 megs of ram - it was this that caused the problems in baldurs gate for me. I reduced the ram windows used in msconfig and now it seems to run fine. good luck!
