i gave sarevok his +2 sword from SoA, and nothing happened! on another post, i read that it was supposed to be come +4 and get some other mods. i havent messed with any game files, that was a suggested problem on another post.

i want him to upgrade his sword! please help!

This is another case of confusion arising from people posting about non-official mods with no tag. I think that in the ToB mod Ascension, Sarevok's sword becomes more powerful and drains/heals a greater quantity of HP with each succesful hit. In ToB giving Sarevok the sword of chaos +2 has no affect whatsoever, since it even states in the weapons discription that most of the swords power died when Sarevoks Bhall essence died with him.

If you want the sword to be upgraded, then I think you'll need to D/L and install Ascsension which I haven't yet tried.

Ascention is the best mod ever. The endgame is a lot better, and lot of dialogs where upgraded. It has been created by one of the Baldur's Gate II. He made the mod so that the game could be more like it was intended to be at first. They had to cut some stuff because of time restriction.

Yes you need Ascension. I posted the previous thread on the subject but at that time I had just took ascension off my computer(but the dialogue.tlk file remained as if ascension was still installed). And so the sword changed but I got none of the dialogue.

Acsension is at www.teambg.com. it's a big download but can also order a cd.

Big download, order CD? are you sure you are not confusing Ascension with the darkest day or The dark side of the sword coast this are very big files that you can order on CD. Ascension isn't that big a file (4mb)

Sorry if i seem to be nit picking Kaneida but ascension is an excellent mod that everyone should try it, and saying that it is a big file might put some people off downloading it.

Now that I have tried it I would never play the game without ascention.
