I like the Wild Mage. good fun there

i liked my human fighter/druid, started as a fighter slapped every point into scimitar for the grand mastery and immediantly dual into a druid, killer melee skills combined with druid magic packs a serious punch, ironskin + globe of blades + firey aura of death + 4 attacks per round =)

Sorcerer! Project Image = HOW MANY Planetars? :D

Cavalier! Greater Whirlwind AND Devas!

Blade! Improved Bard Song & Spike Trap & Use Any Item!

Archer! No HLAs needed -- kicks butt by default!

Multi-class: Fighter/Druid, Fighter/Mage, Ranger/Cleric!

I think that thieves get the shaft WRT/ HLAs. The only power that's any good that Bards don't get is Assassination. I guess that a Mage/Thief would be good (imagine this: Improved Alacrity, Assassination, and then Energy Blades or Melf's Minute Meteors).

I'm going to have to go with the cavalier. That type of character has always been my kind of guy, sweep in all noble and defeat the dragon or wicked demon, and most of the time get the girl. Also, with my way of gaming, my main fighters dont use missle weapons, i leave that to my mages and clerics, so losing the ability to use a missle weapon doesnt even affect me. That and i love the added bonuses against demons and dragons, not to mention the high level abilities of greater whirlwind and deva, all excellent traits.

Mage/Thieves also don't need to waste their 9th level slots on Time Stop--fill them with Improved Alacrity instead, and stock up on Time Traps. Ohhh, baby.

Cleric/Mage: Time Stop, Harm. Ouch. (Saves your Abi-Dalzim's for fights against more than 1 creature.) Also, high Wisdom = great Wishes.

come on guys. what's more fun than casting time stop and turning yourself into a squirrel?

You don't know the meaning of missile weapons until you try the archer!

I've often wondered about making a halfling archer and equipping him with the sling of everard. I'll have to check it out!

My favourite is the Cavalier an Excellent kit.

And if you are willing to give your self a hard time to begin with choose a monk, they might seem crap and hard to play at the beginning of the game but when they advance to later levels you will be glad that you put in the effort and sticked with him as they are excellent.
