Does anyone have this problem. I have BG with the latest patch, but 5-15 minutes into the game, it starts to get choppy. After 30 minutes the game becomes so choppy it is unplayable and I have to reboot my system. I am runnin a p933 with 256mb ram and a 32mb Nvidia card, so this should not be happening. I have no problems with any other game or software I use. Any suggestions?

I used to get this problem when I played with 32Mb of Ram but you've got way more than that. Could the Ram be getting allocated to something else, such as the cache memory. Sorry can't think of anything else.

The computer gods are angry at you for having
a 933MHz computer while some of us only recently
got rid of our P133s. They are punishing you
by impairing your system performance.

Hope this helps

I have found that Anti Virus software can cause problems when running in the backgound with other games.

Im runnin a P350, 64 MB o RAM and i have no problems. Do know what it is i think Rikter is right. My cousin ran Frontier on his old P90 fine but when he got a new faster pute it wudnt work at all.

With modern games, there shouldn't be any problems with too fast computers. With old DOS-games, however, there may be problems. But I would also suggest (as david_m11) to check if there are any programs running in the background. ANother option maybe to increase the cache vor BG. But I don't know if this will help.

Load the BG1 Config panel, and increase your cache size to a bigger amount...this can help....Also, try turing AI Path nodes down..and AI game updates.

I'm having the same problem, more so in multi-player.

I have a P4 1.3 ghz, 128 MB RAM, ATI Radeon VE 64MB.
