I assume you have three different oils? One red, one blue and one
purple?
If you have, go south-west till you come to a room with a locked door that wont be opened with picking it, and six unfired torches.
Now, go to each of the torches, click on them, and a dialogue-box should appear. Now you learn that you must light the torches with different colors, in a special order.
The correct color-combo is:

Red-----Blue
Red-----Purple
Purple--Red

When you now light them in that order, the two doors should open.
Now, go into the room, and continue from there yourself, without my help!

see ya!

I can see that many people are having the same difficulty that I did when they first got to the torches. I, of course, cheated to open the door. at self. Anyway, the torches rate right down there with that stupid switch in the room just before Kresselack's Tomb back in IWD (for those of you who played that game).

On the other hand, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who had troubles (as embarassing as it is to admit that)....

I had trouble as well and came for help to this forum. But i realy get annoyed by these stupid puzzles that take you hours to figure out, i wanna play the game not run all over the place trying to figure out something that shouldnt be that hard. This is as bad as the little tiny quests in BG1 where you would have to travel half way across the world to bring someone a pair of boots and get like 100 exp. for it. Now that was agrivating.
