My now Lvl 25 Monk just atained the Celestial Fury, is it anywhere near as good as her +4 fists?
And because her fists are considered +4 weapons, will they harm magic golems? Thanks in advance! |
I would stick with the fists - and add a girdle of giant strength and the gauntlets of crushing. AWESOME damage!
I think my monk had to resort to a club to hit the magic golems, but I can't remember for sure. THe magic golems do not have a lot of hitpoints anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. |
Monks are awsome if combined with the Gauntlets Of Crushing: 4+ THAC0 and 4+ Damage, you can leave tough opponents in a pool of blood....

Yeah, I have the girdle of Hill Giant Strength on her right now... Where would one find Gauntlets of crushing?
|
Best bet is to go with your fists with your monk but try and get celestial fury into the hands of someone in your party. Its not like you can give your monk's fists to anyone else ;)
|
Hehehehe... I only am playing with a monk and a Wild Mage... He seems to be content with his returning crimson dart +3... Damn that Chromatic Demon to h- er... wherever.

The Gauntlets of crushing are in the Sahuagin City in Shadows of Amn
You have to kill the Sahuagin prince and give his heart to the Mad king and he will give them to you as a reward (The Gauntlets are not part of the Kings Treasury so you must do it this way or you wont get them). |
