If you're in suburban Chicago, you should be able to pick up one very easily at any number of mall computer gaming stores. It's still on the shelves, and probably priced pretty low.

And yes, it is an excellent game. Different in some respects from BG2, but equally strong. A shame it was marketed poorly, and didn't do well enough for Interplay to schedule a followup.

i have called at least 5 stores(babbages, electronics boutique, etc) all say the same thing...'haven't seen it in a year or so.'
any ideas which stores?!?

Hehe, about four hours ago played through the Planescape Torment!

And all I can say that it's one of the best games EVER made. I've played throught BG 1&2 and I think that Torment is even better than those! It has the best plot I've ever seen, it's more logical than BGs and the world (Planes) feels much more alive than BGs world. The characters are even more intresting and so on. It has less battles than BGs and the overall combat isn't as good as in BG. And prepare to read a LOT! (and read all and ask everything from everyone you meet!)

That's juts one AWESOME game. I just installed Throne of Bhaal so I can't say which one is better but right now Torment stands on the first place.

Gee, Ethreal, why don't you make him feel really bad, since he can't find it.

Seth, ask one of your neighborhood stores if another, downtown branch might carry it. My guess is that *somebody* should have it in your area. A larger computer game store with an emphasis on PC products would stock this title.

If all else fails, order it online from Interplay. I know the wait will be sheer torture, but at least you won't be giving the money to a middleman distributor.

Oh, sorry. Now I feel stupid and mean...

But, let's just say that it is a worth searching. Somebody most have it. Just keep searching and you'll find it.

I couldn't find it in stores, either, fable. Did an aol shopping search and scored at a really good price. ($9.98). Even Amazon, the first place I looked didn't have it, said it was out of stock. Don't think it was a pirate copy, it has all of the Black Isle materials, sealed box, manual, etc. just like my friend's. Can't remember where it was, sorry, it was a Christmas present for my husband.

That is annoying and surprising, since the game was still bringing in revenue for Interplay--albeit hardly as much as they'd hoped.

In that case, I would strongly urge its purchase online. I've found it for $19.95, quite easily.
