Not looking for a powergaming party, just wanted to ensure I'm not going to get stomped on in ToB with my little group =b I'm currently using the edited scripts to keep party members from leaving or killing each other, but no other cheats. Please don't post spoilers

Currently, my party is:

Half-Orc Barbarian
Keldorn (Carsomyr-on-legs)
Minsc (More for humor value than anything else, lol)
Viconia (Amazing cleric)
Edwin (Amazing mage)
Imoen (Decent mage, enough thief skills to get me by)

Is that workable for ToB?

I don't see any reason why not. Looks like you've got a decent mix of healing power, magic power, and melee fighters.

That's perfectly workable for ToB. Lots of tanking power, good wizards and Imoen's thieving-skills are enough if you equip her with the right items. Only thing is: for my personal taste, you're a bit low on priestly spellcasters with just Vicky. But as I said that's just my personal taste. Your party will rock if you use the right tactics, but basically that holds true for all possible parties.

That sounds like a very good party. You will have no trouble going through ToB with it.
Hmm, if I were to make one exchange, I would maybe switch Imoen to Jan Jansen.
He is a better thief, a better mage, is a good NPC with his crossbow, and is very funny!
Hehe, if you choose him, you'll have many funny dialogues in the future.

see ya!

If you use theiveing potions & invisability 2nd level for scouting and such & rings of invisability, you should have no problems with the lack of thieves.

Good to hear, thanks =)

I'd considered swapping Minsc for Sarevok, but I just couldn't bear the thought of losing Minsc's dialogues ;)

Tempted to swap Imoen for Jan, but Jan can't cast Necromancy (lose Wilting and Wail o' the Banshee) :(

That's actually a very powerful party, much more powerful than you could normally assemble, given the good vs evil problems.

Grayson 01-16-2002 08:24 PM

Aye ;)

Keldorn is just too much fun, and Viconia has some great lines, heh. Be interesting to see how the romance progresses with my main character =)

That party is okay... but I would change imoen for either Aerie (extra cleric and mage for backup) or Jan Janson (funny and excellent thief and mage, Necromancy is nothing big to loose, as you will be much better off having superior thief skills. Besides, who needs skull of death when they've got mislead, eh? ;) lol LOTS of fun spells for illusion).

Also, I would start giving Keldorn dual wield abilities (for Foebane and Purifier together... boy is that ever a mean combo!) or change him for Saervok, who is the best NPC in the game in every way. Heck, you could even dual class him to a MEAN mage... ;) Lots of powerful swords he can use, or you can give him Ravager (learn Halberd first).
