I'm having soem problems with the fight on level 5 Watcher's Keep. So I got the three keys. Put first key in, and I kill the lich. Put second key in and kill the Rilmans. Put the final key in and I die. I can't seem to get past this part (the one with the Hive Mother, Y'tossi... that one).

In my party I've got:

Me: Fighter- Level 23 or 24 (can't remember)
Anomen
Minsc
Jahiera
Imoen
Aerie

How can I beat these guys? Also. I just wanted to see what the Demogorgon looked like so I ran in to the portal w/o killing the last guardians. Am I supposed to read the scroll when the Demogorgon tells me to, or after he shows himself? Thanks.

That WK lvl5 battle against the Hive Mother, et.al. is a toughie, for sure. In my experience, the best way to handle this battle is

1) Go back to the pocket plane and rememorize your spells, then return.
2) Summon the very best monsters available.
3) Cast all of your standard party buffing spells.
4) Surround your party with the monsters, but have most of them on the side where the Hive Mother comes in.

Now start the battle.

Have your mage(s) be ready to cast breeching spells to drop the magical defenses of the Hive Mother and her pals.

Simply put, use your summoned monsters to keep the enemies busy while you focus your party's full force on only 1 or 2 enemies at a time.

It's a tough battle. But like all "tough" battles, once you've figured out the proper tactics, it becomes much easier.

Should I bother going to the Adventurer's mart (where i store many of my items) to get the shield of balduran? Will it help against the hive mother? Thanks.

That was a tough one I read several strategies most were concintrate one one monster at a time kill it then run outside rest and repeat until all are dead.
Armed with that info. I summoned some baddies of my own to keep the monsters occupied then comminced to wailing on heads took'em all on at once...

Then raised my dead. Sheild of Balduran Helps

Took me forever to beat that last battle. I used lots of summoned creatures and made sure I had the Shield of Balduran.

Also don't skimp on the resistance-type spells. They help immensely, and are worth the extra time it takes to buff your party. Make sure all of your characters that can cast magic absorbing, or magic reflection spells have them up.

Good luck.
