I can get to Durlags tower, but how do i reach the island or ulgoths beard? i cant find the map exit that goes to them!!!!!

Ulgoth's Beard is in the far north of the map. Do you know that farm to the east of Baldur's Gate, where you had to clean up twenty zombies? Go there, and exit at the top of the screen, this should enable you to travel to Ulgoth's Beard. The Islands (both the Werewolf Island and the icy one) can be accessed from the Beard.

yea i tried, i cant exit 2 the north, and exiting eastwards doent alow me 2 go to ulgoths

Hmmm, wierd. I really thought that you could access the Beard that way. I don't have BG1 installed right now, so I can't go out and test it myself. But I'm sure someone else will be able to shed some light on this.

Hi Pete. Try going to the top portion of the Baldur's Gate bridge map and exiting from the north there.

if you go north on the left side of the bridge rather than going to the farm it took me to ulgoths, iv now completed that island thing to so thanks

Bloody hell that was quick - you completed the island in less than a day. That took me ages.

Is that the island infested with werewolves and wolfweres? Took me a long tme too to get rid of the big un at the end. Kept tearin me team to shreds
